Jeremias Steffen was born in 2000 and lives in Cologne. At the age of 16 he got in touch with electronic music, first with Psy-Trance and very soon with techno, which is his favorite music genre today. At the age of 19 he started to produce his own music. Influenced by different elements from different genres, he creates his own style with it.

Ariyam (real name Ali Mirzamahdi) was born in Tehran/Iran in 1996 and moved to Austria in 2015. As a teenager he was a big fan of electronic music and analyzed his favorite tracks as a hobby. The analysis later turned into more. In the meantime, he has turned his biggest hobby into a profession. With two cool tracks he has now landed at Evosonic Records and because HE discovered him, HE of course also contributed musically. A sensational remix by Noah Levin, the discoverer, rounds off this fine EP.

New Yorker Eric Shans took a week-long trip to Berlin in June 2022 to visit friends and reconnect with the city, having been there in 2007. Then as now, he was inspired by the city’s vibrancy, creativity, openness, and gritty but forward-thinking energy. That’s exactly how the tracks sound. The starting point was the Frankfurter Allee stop. On his subway rides through the city, it was certain stops where he experienced adventures. He wanted to capture the resulting impressions and incorporate them into the creation of these songs. When he returned to New York, he wrote this EP.

‚Tease‘ rolls with the bass drum towards playful chords, sounds that could also be from a speeding steam engine. Effectively accompanied by applause. ‚Bubblefoam‘ also relies on chords that accompany the bass drum with thoughtfully played percussion. They also provide the variety until you hear it coming very finely, the acid bassline. We call this workhorse techno. Why? Because it works.

The remix of Chris Maico Schmidt and Noah Levin (..when the father with the son..) brings „The Storms“ to the point. Straight techno, playful vocals, close to the original.

Barry Coleman, who is passionate about house music in all its forms, delivers music that is pure, both behind the decks as a DJ and from the studio as a producer. He proves this on his radio show „The Fifth Element“ on Evosonic Radio. He more than hinted at it with his contribution on the successful compilation „Evosonic 25 (Twentyfive Years Of Electronic Music Radio)“. With these three melodic deep house tracks he confirms it impressively. The Belgian knows how to produce tears of joy through music.
