Am 15.07.2024, ab 22 Uhr, auf EVOSONIC RADIO: BEAT MAGAZIN präsentiert Hainbach.

Das BEAT Magazin sagt DANKE. Denn der Behind The Beat Podcast zählt mittlerweile über 6.000 Hörer im Monat.

Begonnen hatte die Serie mal auf YouTube only, wurde dann von ihrem Host Tobias Fischer übernommen und brummt seitdem auf allen relevanten Kanälen wie Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon, Google und natürlich auch bei Evosonic Radio.

In der aktuellen Folge hat Tobias Fischer übrigens Hainbach zu Gast, einen Ausnahme-Musiker mit Ausnahme-Gear, dessen Musik jetzt auch Bilder schöner macht. Es war spaßig und es lässt sich schwer sagen, ob Tobias oder Hainbach mehr gelacht haben. Wer es genau wissen will:

Less than 6 months after his last release on Evosonic Records, Mile Diskovic presents his fourth single. Downtempo tech house with highs and lows dominates on track 1, but the 126-bpm measured on track 2 might suggest otherwise at first glance. If it weren’t for the many melodies that run through this track and thus live up to their mix name, “Gaensehaut (means goosebumps) Edit”. And then there are the stories behind Miles‘ tracks.

The Swiss artist “Wung the Heartist” provided the groundwork for “Constant Confidance”. In the legendary “Streetparade-brunch-chat”, Wung spontaneously sang vocals in acapella and posted them in the chat. This resulted in the track, which was constantly “confi danced” and celebrated at the Streetparade Brunch.

The track “Svenja” is also the name of the love of his life and the woman at his side. With the heart-rhythm-like sounds and the Svenja melody, she is idolized here.

No frills, straight to the point and yet full of variety from the very first minute. Also because a strong acid line is added to the chords over time. The French vocals round off the whole thing “playfully”. He doesn’t come back alone either, but has reinforcements on board. The remix of the talent “Kippenhaus” steps up a gear and leaves even fewer questions unanswered. If I could reveal the images of my thoughts while listening to these two techno tracks, I could see the two Cologne natives playing a round of ping pong. That will also have something to do with the title of the track. It could, but it doesn’t have to.

Am 17.06.2024, ab 22 Uhr, auf EVOSONIC RADIO: BEAT MAGAZIN präsentiert Toby Gad und Axel Cooper.

Im Behind the Beat Podcast bittet Tobias Fischer spannende Produzenten zum Tiefen-Gespräch. Diese Folge dreht sich um Songwriting-Ikone Toby Gad, der mit Axel Cooper den Hit “Little Do You Know” neu aufbereitet hat.

Es gab eine Zeit, da wollte nahezu jeder, der im Musik-Business etwas auf sich hielt, mit Toby Gad zusammenarbeiten. Zwischen 2007 und 2013 gelang Gad das Kunststück, mit 14 Songs in den amerikanischen Billboard 100 zu landen, darunter vier mal in den Top 10 und zwei Mal auf der Pole-Position. Gad produzierte Madonna und Beyonce, bescherte John Legend seine erste Nummer 1 und Fergie von den Black Eyed Peas ihren Durchbruch als Solo-Künstlerin.

Gad hatte hart auf diesen Erfolg hingearbeitet. Und als er da war, arbeitete er noch härter. Bis er irgendwann seine körperliche Grenze erreicht hatte. Doch erreichte die selbstauferlegte Auszeit schon bald ein natürliches Ende – für Toby ist das Komponieren schlicht so essentiell wie Atmen, Essen und Trinken. Seine Rückkehr hat ihn gerade in Deutschland nun auch als Autoren (“All of Me”) und DSDS-Juroren bekannt gemacht.

Man kann also davon ausgehen, dass Gad sich trotz seiner langen Abwesenheit wieder frei aussuchen kann, mit wem er kollaborieren will. Immer wieder pickt er sich dafür Künstler am Anfang ihrer Karriere heraus, sucht den Reiz im Unbekannten, in der Überraschung. So auch bei seiner Entscheidung für den jungen italienischen Kollegen Axel Cooper mit seinem harten, melodischem Club-Stil.

Eine ungleiche Paarung? Vielleicht. Aber auch: Ein Gipfel der Generationen – und die Basis für ein spannendes Gespräch über die Kunst des Songwritings und Remixens.
